A New Strawn man suffered potentially serious injuries after a plane crash in southeast Kansas this past weekend.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 26-year-old Michael Ribordy was flying a Cozy Cub propeller airplane and was trying to land at a private strip in Parsons shortly before 1:30 pm Saturday. As it approached, the plan hit a powerline and hit the ground nose-first.
Ribordy was taken to Labette County Health. He was wearing a seatbelt when the crash happened.
