Women in ag production are the focus of a special seminar series on the calendar for January and February.
“Leaving a Lasting Legacy” is officially targeted at women, but Lyon County Extension Ag Agent Brian Rees says it’s open to men and women alike.
The schedule includes:
*Jan. 21: Motivation for succession planning
*Jan. 28: Communication about estate and transition planning
*Feb. 4: Financial aspects of estate and transfer plans
*Feb. 11: Putting the plan in place
Sessions will be from 5-8 pm at the Lyon County Extension Office, 2632 West Highway 50, and registration is encouraged by going online to agmanager.info/events by Jan. 12. Residents with questions can also call Extension at 620-341-3220.
The series is made possible by a partnership involving K-State Research and Extension, University of Nebraska Extension and Purdue University Extension.
