As the calendar flips from 2024 to 2025, Abundant Harvest Food Kitchen administrator Josh Graves says the facility is busy.
Graves says there has been an increase in families new to Abundant Harvest recently, and although he didn’t mention a specific reason on KVOE’s Morning Show this week, he referenced the recent closure announcement of Tyson Foods as part of a request for donations.
Abundant Harvest offers free hot meals Monday and Wednesday afternoons at 1028 Whittier, as well as spontaneous food pickup events, depending on donations from a range of partners. The pop-up pickup events have been extremely busy, so Abundant Harvest is asking people not to park in the Whittier Park Apartments drive if they are lining up for free food.
