A man with experience in executive positions in higher education, healthcare and special needs improvements will be the next leader of the Emporia State University Foundation.
ESU says Jason Drummond has over 20 years of experience, most recently as president and CEO of Down Syndrome Innovations. Over the last seven years, Drummond created three new organizations and oversaw fundraising for and construction of the Lifelong Learning Campus while expanding the number of people served by DSI by sixfold. Before that position, Drummond was also an administrator at University of Central Missouri, Freeman Health System and MidAmerica Nazarene University.
Drummond says ESU “has a strong and clear vision for the future, and the ESU Foundation will deepen its commitment to help execute that vision.”
Foundation Board of Trustees Chair Jason Fanning calls Drummond “an accomplished fundraiser with exceptional team-building abilities.”
Drummond replaces Shane Shivley, who became ESU’s Senior Director of Development last year.
