Reported burglaries near Osage City and Overbrook have led to two arrests.
Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells says the reports were noted between Jan. 3-5. Following early investigative work, deputies and investigators gained enough information for a search warrant.
Colton Hill, age 23 of Osage City, and 52-year-old Brian Stevenson of Pomona were arrested on suspicion of felony burglary, attempted burglary, felony theft and misdemeanor theft. Hill was also arrested for driving on a suspended license and illegal registration. Formal charges are pending.
Most of the stolen items have been recovered, according to Wells, but he adds his staffers are “actively investigating all angles” with this case.
