The annual Country 101.7 FM Watch the Chiefs contest is now in stage two as 17 contestants learned which teams they will be following through the NFL playoffs this year.
Contestants gathered inside of Triad Leasing to see which team would carry their chances at a new 55-inch 4K LED smart TV courtesy of Triad. While most of, if not all of the contestants, were hoping to see the Kansas City Chiefs logo appear under their name the lucky individual to select the Chiefs was Gilbert Herrera who also had the final choice of spaces in the contest.
Herrera says he’s looking forward to the next few weeks of football.
Once again this year instead of seeing a better luck next year square under their name, three participants were entered into a second chance drawing where they were assigned one of the playoff teams. Among them was Luke Thompson who will also be following the Kansas City Chiefs.
With the second chance drawing, there is the possibility that two individuals could walk away with a new television and David Jennings of Triad says he hopes that will be the case.
Throughout the NFL regular season, listeners to Country 101.7 FM had a chance to name two mystery players during each game. Successful participants then qualified for the chance to win the television and also received a free one-topping pizza from Gambino’s.
