Emporia High senior Katie Smart signed to continue her soccer career at Neosho County Community College in Chanute on Wednesday.
Smart said it’s been a dream of hers since her freshman year to play at the collegiate level.
Smart said several things stood out about her decision to play for the Panthers.
Smart is the second Lady Spartan before the season to sign to continue their soccer career. Karah Cooper signed in November to continue her soccer career at Allen Community College in Iola.
Emporia High will open its season on March 25 against Junction City.
