Updates will be a key component for the Emporia Recreation Commission board meeting Monday.
Board members will get an update from the Rec Center Steering Committee working to bring a new public recreation facility to Champions Landing, as well as changes to the Lee Beran Recreation Center and updates to DeBauge Soccer Complex.
There will also be updates on technology work, employee tax credits, a grant writer position and the search for a new director. Potential upgrades to Lee Beran Rec Center will also be discussed.
A marketing recap for 2024 and a look ahead to the Kansas State High School Activities Association state basketball tournament at White Auditorium will also be discussed.
The meeting is at 5:30 pm Monday at Lee Beran Rec Center.
