Construction and curriculum updates will lead the USD 253 Emporia Board of Education meeting this week.
Board members will get the latest update on the district’s nearly $80 million Building for the Future bond initiative, focusing on work at William Allen White Elementary — the last school to see work through the bond package.
The board will also discuss state standards and curriculum alignment priorities.
In other business, the board will consider a resolution to extend terms of board officers, specifically President Lillian Lingenfelter and Vice President Jami Reever. This agenda item is separate from an official recognition of School Board Appreciation Month.
The meeting will start at 6 pm Wednesday at Emporia High School.
