North Lyon County Elementary and NLC Early Learning Center have a new principal.
As part of a special meeting this week, USD 251 North Lyon County elevated Aimee Landgren to lead both schools. Landgren has been the prekindergarten to eighth grade school counselor at NLC Elementary since 2005 and served as USD 386 Madison-Virgil’s K-12 music instructor for six years before changing districts.
Landgren has several degrees from Emporia State University, including a bachelor’s degree in music education for both vocal and instrumental music, a Master of Science in counselor education and a PreK-12 Building Leadership license.
Landgren’s husband, Lyndel, is the Director of Communications and Marketing for USD 253 Emporia.
Aimee Landgren follows Robert Hampton, who led both buildings since 2021.
