A Missouri man who led two pursuits involving area law enforcement agencies last summer was sentenced to probation Wednesday.
Frederick Beecher Hogue of Hollister, Missouri, was accused of leading a short high-speed chase in the Emporia city limits in early July, followed within minutes by a second chase from Emporia into Franklin County. He had pleaded no contest to one count of flee and elude in October. Additional counts of flee and elude, interference with law enforcement and driving while suspended were dropped.
Hogue was sentenced to one year probation with an underlying prison term of 13 months for probation violations.
