Another week, another static update on the US Drought Monitor for the KVOE listening area.
There was virtually no change in the Drought Monitor map from Jan. 16 to Thursday — and, in fact, there has barely been any movement now for over two solid months. The southern two-thirds of Chase County is drought-free, but the rest of the KVOE listening area, including all of Lyon County, is abnormally dry.
No measurable precipitation is currently in the forecast until a slight chance of rainfall Wednesday and Thursday.
