A pair of upsets occurred in the championship semifinals of the Flint Hills Shootout on Friday night at White Auditorium.
Osage City, the No. 5 seed, upset top seed Council Grove, 55-26. The Indians got 24 points from Kasen Parsons, while the Braves got nine points from Finn Grant. Osage City will play Mission Valley, the No. 3 seed, who needed overtime to defeat No. 2 seed Wabaunsee, 40-38. Porter Deters led Mission Valley with 12. Osage City and Mission Valley will play for the tournament championship at 7:30 p.m. Wabaunsee and Council Grove will play for third place at 4:30 p.m.
On the consolation side of the bracket, Chase County defeated Lyndon, 56-44. Carson Schroer led Chase County with 19. Chase County will play for fifth against West Franklin at 1:30 p.m., who defeated Cair Paravel, 65-60.
