An Emporia woman facing three different criminal cases in Lyon County, one for escape and two for low-level drug distribution, now has bench warrants out for her arrest in the drug distribution cases.
The Kansas District Court Public Access Portal shows Anissa Gardner-Lagg failed to appear at separate preliminary hearings Monday and Tuesday. Monday’s hearing was connected to charges of distributing methamphetamine and aggravated child endangerment back in August, while Tuesday’s prelim was linked to charges of distributing meth and possessing paraphernalia from alleged activity in October.
Gardner-Lagg was also charged with aggravated escape last week after allegedly leaving the Lyon County Detention Center while being held on at least one of the meth distribution charges. A court schedule for that case has not posted to the District Court Public Access Portal.
11 am Tuesday: Gardner-Lagg charged with aggravated escape with two Lyon County criminal cases already underway
Already charged with low-level drug distribution and aggravated child endangerment in one Lyon County case and drug distribution in another, Anissa Gardner-Lagg now has charges filed in a third case.
Gardner-Lagg now faces a count of aggravated escape from custody. Prosecutors accuse Gardner-Lagg of escaping the Lyon County Detention Center while being held on a felony count of methamphetamine distribution in early December. A court appearance schedule has not posted to the Kansas District Court Public Access Portal.
Gardner-Lagg was arrested in late August and charged with distributing a small amount of methamphetamine, as well as aggravated child endangerment.
Gardner-Lagg was then arrested in mid-October and charged separately with distributing a small amount of methamphetamine and possessing paraphernalia.
