An investigation is underway after a destructive fire in central Greenwood County last week.
Fire was reported at 205 South Fifth in Hamilton this past Thursday. Greenwood County Sheriff Heath Samuels says the garage was fully engulfed when authorities arrived. The garage eventually collapsed.
The fire also caused minor damage to the nearby house, prompting authorities to evacuate five people to safety. No injuries have been reported.
A cause has not been listed.
