Flu numbers are trending down across Kansas and level in Lyon County, according to the county’s health officer, Dr Ladun Oyenuga.
On KVOE’s Morning Show this week, Oyenuga said norovirus and RSV are on downward paths. COVID-19 numbers are much harder to track now than they were four and five years ago, but Oyenuga says there are increased numbers nationally versus last year.

Oyenuga says flu and COVID-19 vaccinations are still readily available. She also encourages people to thoroughly wash their hands and to cover their coughs and sneezes as part of basic hygiene. If you’re sick, stay home.
