Lilly Skalsky hit a go-ahead free throw with 5 seconds to play to give Olpe a 39-38 victory over Waverly. Skalsky led all scorers with 16, as Olpe advanced to their 44th tournament championship game.
Lebo withstood a late rally by Madison to win 42-28 behind 17 points from Saige Hadley. Tomorrow night will be Lebo’s sixth straight consecutive final and they have won the last two tournaments defeating Olpe in 2024 and 2023.
On the boys side of the bracket, Burlingame defeated Lebo 47-38 to advance to their first final since 2019. Zach Oswald led Lebo with 20 points, while Drake Skirvin added 19 for Burlingame.
Joining Burlingame in the final is Olpe as they cruised past Madison 55-21. Brecken McGuire led Olpe with 17 points. Olpe will be in their 21st title game and looking to win their fourth straight championship.
