The Emporia High wrestling teams participated in two different tournaments at two different sites on Saturday.
The Lady Spartans finished fourth at the Junction City Invitational. Kensley Medrano finished first at 120, while Alexa Castillo finished second at 235. Sienna Spaulding (105) and Heily Batres (115) finished third. Allison Curtis (100), Chloe Steele (110), and Lixy Lainez Rosas (155) finished fourth.
The Spartans finished eighth at the SEK Invitational hosted by Chanute. Jackson Goodman finished first at 132. Dustin Dobson (150) finished third. Walker Metcalfe (106) and Landon Wohletz (138) finished fifth. Kevin Cubas (157) and Garrett LeBlanc (165) finished sixth.
The Lady Spartans will dual at Lawrence on Tuesday while the Spartans will prepare for the Centennial League Tournament to be hosted at Topeka High on Saturday.
