Winter weather advisories continue areawide until noon with the risk of a thin glaze of ice and the possibility of related travel issues.
National Weather Service meteorologist Bill Gargan urges people to be careful Wednesday morning, regardless of whether they are driving or walking.
Advisories also cover northeast and southwest Kansas.
The Kansas Department of Transportation has pre-treated highway bridges and overpasses. The Lyon County Highway Department will treat paved county roads if icing develops.

8 pm Tuesday: Winter weather advisory posted for Lyon, surrounding counties
The prospect of freezing drizzle has caused a winter weather advisory from the National Weather Service.
Lyon and all surrounding counties are in an advisory from 10 pm Tuesday to noon Wednesday. A light glaze of ice is possible, meaning roads, bridges and overpasses could be slick and hazardous until air temperatures get above freezing.
