After an extended period of drizzle and occasional freezing rain Wednesday, another form of weather could cause travel issues Thursday morning.
A dense fog advisory affects all area counties from 9 pm Wednesday to 6 am Thursday. Visibility may be a quarter-mile or less, and there could be a period of dense freezing fog from shortly before sunrise to shortly afterward.
If you’re driving during the advisory time, you’re advised to slow down, use low-beam headlights and increase the driving distance between your vehicle and others nearby.
Wednesday’s drizzle and freezing drizzle led to several non-injury crashes in Lyon County, as well as a number of medical response calls for falls.
