A crash near Gridley led to the death of one person Wednesday.
The Coffey County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a reported wreck near Eighth and Emmer Roads north of Gridley. Deputies determined a northbound vehicle crossed the opposing lane and hit a bridge railing before going across the bridge and crashing into a wooded ditch and creek area.
James Dylan Lomon, age 21, died on scene. He was the only person in the vehicle.
Deputies are investigating the cause of the crash.
