USD 386 Madison-Virgil is nearing the end of its interview process as it continues working to bring a new superintendent to the district.
After interviewing Hartford-Neosho Rapids Principal Lewis Whitson on Monday, the board and the District Leadership Team interviewed Bucklin Superintendent Amy Ricks on Wednesday.
The district has its final scheduled interview at 5 pm Thursday at Madison High School. The candidate’s name has not yet been released.
Current Superintendent Tammy Baird is retiring after over 30 years in education, including the last four in various roles for Madison-Virgil.
The district has not officially said when it plans to name its next leader. The board has a meeting at 7 pm Monday at the Madison High meeting room.
