The US Drought Monitor’s weekly update map hasn’t budged much for the KVOE listening area.
Thursday’s map shows the southern half of Chase County as drought-free. Lyon County and the rest of KVOE’s signal coverage area are still abnormally dry.
The only change from Thursday’s map and the weekly maps for nearly three months is the expansion of drought-conditions for the southern half of Chase County. For most of the last three months, the southwest quarter of Chase County was officially clear of drought.
