Maintenance work will be closing down a local rail crossing for a short time starting Tuesday.
The Lyon County Highway Department has announced that the railroad crossing at the intersection of Kansas Highway 130 and Road X will be closed starting Tuesday with the closure continuing through Wednesday weather permitting.
According to the highway department, the closure is for scheduled maintenance work through Road Safe Traffic Systems and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.
