The Emporia High bowling teams had strong performances in their home invitational Tuesday at Flint Hills Lanes.
The Spartans won their portion of the meet with a series of 2,728, 85 better than second place Junction City. Three Spartans placed in the top five. Nate Green led the way with a third place finish and a 698 series. Morgan Liggett finished fourth with a 674 and Jacob Kamprath was fifth with a 670. The Lady Spartans finished second with a series of 2,068, 104 behind team champion Junction City. Brynn Heffron led the way for the Lady Spartans with a fourth place finish with a series of 523. Taylor McKay was fifth with a 519.
Emporia High heads to Junction City on Friday.
