A progress report on the Olpe Fitness Park project is part of the USD 252 Southern Lyon County Board of Education’s agenda this week.
Board members meet Wednesday, in part to get the latest on the multi-faceted quality of life project after park organizers secured $2.5 million for Phase 1 construction and added almost $100,000 through the second annual Green Machine Gala this past weekend.
Separate reports are planned from Superintendent Ryan Muhlig, building principals and administrators for early childhood and technology. There will also be conversations about the Southern Lyon County Recreation Commission, the Kansas Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program through the Kansas State Department of Education and the district’s 2025-2026 academic calendar.
The meeting begins at 6 pm at the board meeting room in Hartford.
