KVOE’s Cupid’s Arrow contest is now over.
Mark Magathan called in with the love word “sweetie” during KVOE’s Morning Show on Thursday.
Magathan got the contest’s grand prize, a quarter-carat-weight diamond heart necklace set in yellow gold and valued at almost $900 from Kari’s Diamonds and Bridal. KVOE delivered the ring to Magathan at Broadview Towers Thursday afternoon where gifted it to his girlfriend Jennifer Whatley who was over the moon to receive it.
Since Feb. 6, listeners had a chance to call KVOE after hearing the sound of Cupid’s arrow. They then had to guess the Valentine’s Day love word, with prizes coming from event sponsors like AKA The Sports Fan, Emporia Floral, Gambino’s Pizza, Goodcents, Jack’s Lawn and Pool and The Sweet Granada.
