Names will be announced soon as USD 284 Chase County gets closer to having a new district leader.
Board members Wednesday finalized the list of candidates to interview for the post. Board chair Mike Spinden says names won’t be released until the day of respective interviews. The district will have news releases announcing the finalists, with a goal of conducting interviews Feb. 18, 19 and 20 before announcing the next superintendent Feb. 21.
The board is in the late procedural stages of replacing Glenna Grinstead, who is retiring in June after six years leading the district.
