There will be updates and reviews during the Emporia Recreation Commission’s next meeting.
Board members will get the latest update on the search for a new director after the exit of longtime director Tom McEvoy late last year. They will also field Leadership Team updates from Assistant Wellness Supervisor Lauren Carlson and Youth Program Supervisor Tiffany Miller.
Board members will also review the Rec Commission Board’s term calendar and look back at 2024 in review. Other agenda items include an unspecified donation from Johnstone Supply, a youth physical activity grant from the United Way of the Flint Hills Pathways to a Healthy Kansas program and a separate Kansas Department of Broadband ADOPT grant for the Emporia Public Library.
The meeting is at 5:30 pm Monday at the Lee Beran Recreation Center.
