Lifelong Chiefs fan Kathy Johnson admits she was disappointed the boys in red didn’t bring home another Lombardi trophy this past weekend, however, her new 55-inch 4K LED smart TV will certainly help heal that wound somewhat.
Johnson was this years winner of the annual Country 101.7 Watch the Chiefs promotion after selecting the Philadelphia Eagles to go all the way in the NFL playoffs. While picking up her prize Saturday morning, Johnson spoke with KVOE News and says she already knows what she’ll be watching once she gets the TV home.
Watch The Chiefs has been a longtime partnership between KVOE and Triad Leasing, which provides the television prize, and Patrik Engberg of Triad says it’s an event Triad staff always looks forward to with great excitement. While they’re not eligible to win the TV, Engberg says he and his coworkers are just as invested in the competition as the participants each year.
Throughout the NFL regular season, listeners to Country 101.7 FM had a chance to name two mystery players during each game. Successful participants then qualified for the chance to win the television and also received a free one-topping pizza from Gambino’s.
