It was another strong outing for the Emporia High boys bowling team in its home quad on Monday at Flint Hills Lanes.
The Spartans won their quad with a series of 2,810, nearly 400 better than runner-up Salina South. Four Spartans placed in the top five. Caydrick Crouch led the way with a personal best 698 series and took second. Michael Wendling was third with a 689. Nate Green finished fourth with a 668 and Colton Swift finished fifth with a 638.
The Lady Spartans finished second in their quad with a series of 1854, finishing behind Salina South. Brynn Heffron led Emporia High with a 505 series good for third. Amelia Lowery finished fourth with a 499 and Taylor McKay finished fifth with a 450.
Emporia High travels to Junction City for the Centennial League Championships on Thursday.
