Lyon County Commissioners are set to receive an update on a major display headed to Emporia later this year as part of their regular action meeting Thursday.
Ed Rathke, Richelle Birk and Clay Childs will present an update to commissioners on the Wall That Heals a mobile replica of the Washington D.C. Vietnam War memorial which is set to be on display in Emporia August 14-17. Separately, commissioners will conduct a public hearing on a Community Development Block Grant downtown Commercial rehabilitation application and will consider approving a $230,000 invoice from Flint Hills Technical College for the 2025 allocation.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9 am inside of the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
