Emporia Spartan Boxing is heading back to the world’s fight capital for competition this weekend.
Spartan Masters competitors Robert Sieberns and Melissa Veatch will compete in the 2025 Las Vegas Masters Boxing Championships Saturday and Sunday. Sieberns, an assistant coach for the program, is making his second trip to the competition after going 1-1 in 2024.
He says he has one goal for this year’s competition.
Veatch, K-12 Principal at Lebo, has been with Spartan Boxing for over a year now and is making her in-ring debut this weekend. She says making her debut in Vegas is something not many get to do and she is planning to make the most of it.
Veatch will be the first bout of her bracket facing Utah’s Chelsey Taylor. A win will advance her to the title bout Sunday.
Sieberns will have a single title bout in the 156-165 lbs weight class facing Utah’s Louie Cruz Saturday.
