The city of Emporia has been working to enhance its community engagement for some time, and it has new platform that is now available.
Ask Emporia is designed to offer direct answers to resident questions, including video answers.
Residents need to find the Ask Emporia button on the city’s website, emporiaks.gov, to get started. Residents can search to see if questions have already been answered; if questions haven’t been asked, they then can type it for a response with a personalized video answer. Residents can then share those answeres to social media and engage with the answers provided.
The Ask Emporia website also includes trending categories for discussion points, as well as links to the city of Emporia’s community calendar and news releases. There is also an option to translate English to several different languages.
The city is using the Rep’d platform for Ask Emporia.
