Marais Des Cygnes Valley used a 38-0 run in parts of the second and third quarters en route to a 75-28 victory over Caldwell in girls Class 1A Division 2 substate play.
MDCV, a state qualifier a year ago, was led in scoring by Akyra Traver with 24.
The Lady Trojans travel to Hutch-Central Christian for semifinal action Saturday at 7pm.
Cold shooting plagued MDCV as they fell to Caldwell 51-27, concluding their season at 6-15.
Caldwell led 22-16 at the half, but that was as close as MDCV would get as the Trojans would not score in the second half until five minutes left in the fourth quarter.
Landon Traver led MDCV with 10 points.
Caldwell will face Lebo next Monday at 7pm
Other games from Monday, Burlingame girls upset Wakefield, 50-47, in the quarterfinals of the 1A-Division I Sub-State hosted by Centralia. Burlingame will play at Rock Hills at 7 pm Saturday. No score was reported with a girls matchup between Waverly and Southern Coffey County. The winner of that game will play at Lebo at 7 pm Saturday.
