Members of the American Legion Post 5 will be getting in the kitchen to support an upgrade to the kitchen this weekend.
The legion will host a pancake feed starting at 7 am at its main building, 2921 West 12th Avenue. The cost is a suggested donation of $5, which gets you all you can eat pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, coffee and orange juice.
The main purpose of the breakfast is to raise funds for an upgrade to the legion’s kitchen, which has not seen a meaningful update since 1999. Additionally, legion member and local veteran Ed Rathke says they want to use he breakfast to build more comradery and knowledge of the legion within the local community.
