There is a big milestone ahead for Emporia First Friday.
The organization — and the event — celebrates its 100th monthly festival on Friday.
Along with the now-standard partnerships between local and area artists and downtown businesses, there are other activities planned to celebrate the milestone, including limited edition T-shirts, highlights and memorabilia at the Lyon County History Center and a special Centennial Show at Mulready’s Pub.
Activities will be from 5-8 pm in downtown Emporia, with SELA serving as the March Art Walk sponsor. First Friday Founder Kaila Mock and Marketing Director Kat Dorcas will have a preview on KVOE’s Newsmaker segment at 7:20 am Friday. More information is available at emporiafirstfriday.com.
