Next steps in the search for a new director will lead the Emporia Recreation Commission Board’s monthly meeting Tuesday.
Board members will discuss an upcoming date for live interviews, as well as whether to host staff and community meet-and-greet events with the finalists. Board members could also authorize travel and lodging reimbursements for out-of-town interviewees.
This follows the retirement of longtime director Tom McEvoy last year.
Separately at Tuesday’s meeting, board members will discuss:
*The upcoming Kansas State High School Activities Basketball Tournament at White Auditorium
*Facilities needs
*Adult soccer at the DeBauge Sports Complex
*Approving the annual Jones Aquatic Center operations agreement with the city of Emporia
*Proposed bylaw changes
Leadership Team updates are also on the agenda.
The meeting starts at 5:30 pm at Lee Beran Recreation Center.
