Conde Named MIAA Women's Tennis Player of the Week

Emporia State sophomore Perla Conde has been named the MIAA Women’s Tennis Player of the Week after helping lead the Lady Hornets to a pair of victories last weekend.  The #50 Lady Hornets upset #38 Rockhurst and Conde picked up a win at #3 singles and doubles on the way to a 4-3 victory over the Hawks.  She picked up another win at #2 doubles in a sweep of William Jewell before picking two more victories in Tuesday’s exhibition against NJCAA #4 Cowley County CC.  The Lady Hornets are currently ranked #38 and will play three duals over spring break in Florida beginning on Sunday including two against ranked foes.
