Organizers of this summer’s local appearance of The Wall That Heals are inviting people to attend the official kickoff to that upcoming event.
March 29 from 12-5 pm is reserved for the kickoff event at the Emporia American Legion Post 5. Organizer Clay Childs says there will be a lot of information on hand.
Fellow organizer Ed Rathke is expecting a lot of interest, and not just from area residents.
Financial and certain in-kind donations are needed. So are volunteers, according to organizer Richelle Birk.
