Emporia State senior Anton Sarunic has been named the MIAA/GAC North Division Men’s Tennis Player of the Week after picking up two wins for the Hornets last weekend. Sarunic helped lead the #28 Hornets to a victory over #31 Rockhurst with a #2 doubles win before picking up a straight-sets victory over his 11th-ranked opponent. The Croatia native is now #18 in the ITA Division II singles rankings while the Hornet men are #20, their highest ever ranking as an NCAA Division II program. ESU will face three nationally ranked teams over spring break in Florida beginning on Sunday.
