Olpe advanced into the 1A-D1 Championship game with a 44-34 victory over Central Plains.
Olpe trailed at the end of the first quarter 9-8, much in part to cold shooting to begin the ballgame. The Eagle would ramp up their defensive pressure in the second quarter, holding Central Plains to four points, all coming at the foul line.
With Olpe struggling from the field in the first half, 6/27 on field goal attempts, they still found themselves a 17-13 lead at the half.

The third quarter saw both offenses come alive, with Central Plains outscoring Olpe 16-14 to pull within two heading into the final quarter.
Olpe would go back to the well with their defense in the fourth, holding Central Plains to only five points while the Eagles found a rhythm offensively to pull away down the stretch.
Dexton Hoelting led all scorers with 18 points,
Olpe will play tomorrow evening against South Central at 615pm in search of their third state title in program history(2021,2022).
