Olpe used a 19-7 fourth quarter to claim their third state championship in program history as they defeated South Central 47-34.
The run was sparked by Senior Dexton Hoelting as he scored 15 points in the frame, going 10/10 from the foul line. Hoelting led all scorers with 24.
Hoelting missed last year due to an injury and was thankful to end his career on top.
The game saw three lead changes and three ties. Olpe 23-17 at the half before being outscored in the third to have it be a one point ball game heading to the final frame.
Olpe’s head coach Chris Schmidt knew that Hoelting would finish his role as the senior leader.
Olpe finishes the season 24-2.
