The winter pause is ending soon for work at the Interstate 35 bridge over Lincoln Street.
How soon? Perhaps as soon as next week, according to City Engineer Jim Ubert.
Work to replace the bridge began last spring and continued into fall. Once work resumes, there will be one-lane, head-to-head traffic until August.
The project will also include a renovated section of Lincoln Street under the bridge and a new sidewalk and hike-and-bike path west along 24th to Prairie.
