Reward money continues to swell in the case of a horse shot dead in Wabaunsee County earlier this month.
The Wabaunsee County Sheriff’s Office initially had a combined reward of nearly $2,500 after the horse was reportedly shot near the junction of Interstate 70 and Carlson Road on Saint Patrick’s Day, with funds coming from the Sheriff’s Office and the horse owner. Private donations from across Kansas and as far away as South Dakota and Idaho have now pushed the reward total to $10,000. The Sheriff’s Office now says the reward amount is now maxed out.
Aside from the horse being shot to death, other case details have not been released.
