The new Dean for Applied Health Sciences at Emporia State University can’t wait to get started.
Audio PlayerDr Nicole Webb discussed her career and department goals during KVOE’s ESU Buzz on Thursday. Webb brings a wealth of experience to the role. Provost Dr Brent Thomas says Webb is the right person for the position.
Audio PlayerCurrently, Webb is the chair of AT Still University’s Doctor of Nursing practice program in the College of Graduate Health Studies. She also spent time as a full-time faculty member at Troy University and has medical experience including home health and as nurse practitioner.
Besides having a listening tour with faculty, staff and students, Webb wants to build enrollment — and she believes the new Nursing + Student Wellness facility now under construction will help build interest.
Audio PlayerWebb’s announcement isn’t the only administrative post to be filled at Emporia State. Thomas says applications are currently being evaluated for the School of Business + Technology to replace Ed Bashaw, who is retiring. On-campus interviews have finished for the dean of the School of Humanities + Social Sciences.
