An outstanding musical recital is coming to the Sauder Alumni Center this weekend, featuring some well-known local musicians.
Specifically, the Amend Family Series Recital will feature brothers and Emporia natives Jeremy and Jared Starr, along with pianist Carmen Hall. Noting the Starr Family’s deep roots in the community and tradition for musical excellence, Emporia State University Program Director for Music Dr. Allan Comstock says he is so excited for the upcoming recital.
Audio PlayerDr. Comstock promises the show will be both entertaining for the public and educational for ESU music students as they will have the opportunity to work with the Starrs and Hall through a series of master classes.
The concert is free to attend and will begin at 3 pm.
The Amend Family Concert Series was started by Doug and Margaret Amend as a way to support classical music and bring world-renowned classical performers to the community.
