The Emporia State women’s tennis team took the doubles point but couldn’t win a singles match falling 6-1 to Central Oklahoma at the Kossover Family Tennis Complex on Friday. ESU started the match strong with wins at #1 Doubles by Yulia Klimova and Paige Stranghoner and clinching the doubles point at #2 Doubles when Lilie Bizouerne and Perla Conde won their match. The Lady Hornets were washed out afterwards losing all six singles matches. Two matches went to a super tiebreak, but the Lady Hornets were outscored a combined 20-3 in the two tiebreaks combined. ESU (6-6, 1-1 MIAA) is on the road Friday, April 4 to face Nebraska-Kearney.
