The Emporia State track and field teams have been slotted into the MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Preseason polls released yesterday. The Hornet men were slotted fifth while the Lady Hornets were picked 11th out of 11 track teams in the MIAA. Pittsburg State, the reigning and defending indoor and outdoor MIAA and national champions were unanimous picks to repeat as conference champions for both the men and women. The ESU Relays started on Thursday at Welch Stadium to open the outdoor season and action continues Friday morning beginning at 11:00 a.m.
