Brief heavy rain and small hail were widespread as part of the second round of storm activity across the KVOE listening area in a 12-hour period.
Isolated storms brought warnings to Greenwood and Coffey counties Tuesday evening. No severe weather was reported. A line of storms followed after 3 am Wednesday, bringing heavy rain and small hail to Emporia, Olpe and Reading.

TV-13 meteorologist Doug Meyers says this rainfall sets up more rain by late this week.
Audio PlayerPower outages have been few in number, with a handful of Evergy and 4 Rivers customers offline in Emporia and 4 Rivers also having a few customers offline in Osage and Wabaunsee counties. Evergy had an extensive outage stretching from Harveyville and Eskridge northeast to Topeka, causing over 400 customers to lose power.
